SusMatLab at S&T
Sustainable Materials Laboratory (SusMatLab) is the Dr. Okoronkwo’s Research Group in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at Missouri S&T.
The group’s mission is to advance the chemistry and physics of materials for sustainable infrastructure, energy, and environment.
The research at SusMatLab focuses on recreating materials for sustainable infrastructure, energy, and environment. The team employs integrated experimental and computational techniques in elucidating the composition-structure-processing-property relationships in materials; leveraging the lessons learned, and inspirations from nature, and ancient and modern technologies in designing next-generation eco- and energy-efficient materials, while also improving the properties of existing ones.
